Kokedama is the Japanese gardening art of enclosing a plant’s roots in moss. Kokedama means “moss ball” and in this class you will learn how to make these fun plant creations, which can be suspended by string. Some experience repotting a plant, crafting or making things with your hands will be helpful. Be prepared to get your hands in the soil. $50 class fee includes the plant and materials.

Sunday, May 31st 12-1pm: Herbs & Veggies

Learn about sun, water and planting requirements for a variety of herbs & vegetables, including basil, thyme, oregano, dill, mint, rosemary, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. We’ll also discuss designing ideas, mixing herbs & vegetables with ornamental perennials and annuals to create an eye-appealing, mixed-use container or garden bed. $20 class fee includes a herb or veggie you get to take home.

This class will explore floral design through color. Color blocking and monochromatic arrangements will be demonstrated using seasonal blooms such as celosia, delphinium, gomphrena, asclepias, roses, and hydrangea. $150 class fee includes a vase arrangement you make and take home.
