Container Arrangement Workshop: Summer Annuals

The fear of frost is behind us and the warmer days come with the offering of the full pallet of summer annuals with which we can create harmonious color stories.

Come join us as one of our garden designers will guide you through the process of arranging a summer annual planting that you will be able to enjoy all summer. Furthermore, you will leave with the skills to continue to create with color and texture throughout your garden, rooftop, front stoop, or apartment patio. You will also learn how to maintain your annual planters so they look fresh through them challenging hotter months. If this class is half as much fun to take as it is to teach, then we are all going to have a good time.

 

In this workshop, we'll guide you through choosing combinations appropriate for your container.

• You're welcome to bring your own container - These should be 12-14" wide in overall proportion, or if you prefer to bring a window box, 24" length would be considered standard. All containers should have drainage. One per guest please. If you'd like to plant a pair, register a guest to work along with you!
• We will have a select range of planters available for those guests who do not bring their own.
• Workshop cost assumes soil and planting materials. Planters (if needed) and plants will be billed at the conclusion of the workshop and will vary with each design.

Classes are held at our Garden store at 745 N. Damen Ave, Chicago

Cancellation Policy:
Registration for Sprout Home classes may be cancelled at least five days prior to the class date. We cannot transfer your registration to a later class; however, you may rebook for a date of your choosing. This is a rain or shine event.
