Fothergilla major 'Mount Airy' is an upright heavy bloomer with abundant white flower spikes that last 3 - 4 weeks, from mid April  to early May. The dark blue-green summer foliage develops beautiful fall colors, from yellow to orange to red.  Drought tolerant and fragrant as well.

  • Soil: well drained, regular garden soil
  • Spacing: 4 - 5'
  • Height at maturity: 5 - 6'
  • Zones: 4 - 8
