Setaria palmifolia “Palm Grass”



Light: This unique grass grows best in very bright light or some dappled sun. This keeps the leaves strong and sturdy..


Water: Palm Grass likes even moisture so water when the soil feels dry just below the surface. Never let your plant sit in water for long periods of time. These plants will tolerate drier soils the longer they are established. In the fall and winter, reduce watering slightly. 


Environment: Setaria palm grass thrives in typical household environments. Protect your plant from drafts and forced heat or air. Mist the leaves or use a humidifier to elevate humidity in winter. 


Toxicity:  Palm Grass is reported to be non-toxic but should not be considered edible.
