Anigozanthos, commonly known as "Kangaroo Paw" and "Catspaw", is a genus of Southwest Australian plants of the bloodwort family Haemodoraceae.  They have clusters of tubular flowers on fuzzy stalks and sword like leaves that provide interest unlike other garden annuals. 

  • Light: full sun to part sun
  • Watering: dry to the touch (can be drought tolerant once established)
  • Soil: regular, well drained, potting mix
  • Height at maturity: 20 - 24" (flower stalk), 12 - 14" (foliage)
  • Zone: 9 - 11
