The Bowiea volubillis is a bulbous plant that is also called the Sea Onion.  A monotypic genus in the asparagus family the Vining onion is a strange beast.  A large bulb that is mostly out of the soil and the winding vining greens that protrude from the center is a site for bored eyes.  

  • Light - full to part sun
  • Watering - dry between waterings
  • Soil - succulent mix
