Hoya is a genus of tropical plant in the Apocynaceae family and also known as "Waxvine" or "Waxflower". Hoya carnosa compacta 'Variegata', commonly called "Variegated Rope," is a climber that has waxy thick variegated curled and contorted leaves on twisting stems - resembling a rope. Waxy star shaped flowers appear in clusters at the tips of spurs, or peduncies, in colors ranging from white to dark pink. The more sun it's in, the better chance you'll be graced with its blooms.
