Sinningia leucotricha is commonly called the "Brazilian Edelweiss", and is native to Brazil. Reaching to about 12" tall at maturity it has large rounded tubers with fuzzy grey stems and leaves that can reach about 6" long. Clusters of salmon colored tube shaped flowers bloom normally in summer.  As it is a tuberous plant give it a dormancy period.  During the dormancy period it might drop its leaves to sleep.

  • Light - part sun
  • Soil - succulent mix
  • Watering - even moisture during spring and summer, dry down 10% dormancy
